Faith and the Quiet Light Within ✨

Today, our hearts are full as Alice receives the Sacrament of Confirmation — a sacred step in her journey of faith and a moment that reminds us how grace continues to flow through every chapter of life.

In a world that often rushes and questions, faith asks us to pause, to breathe, and to listen for the quiet voice of love that never leaves us. It’s not about certainty; it’s about trust — trusting that we are held, guided, and never truly alone.

Being a young Catholic today means walking with open eyes and an open heart — living faith not only in prayer, but in everyday kindness, in standing up for what is right, and in finding God’s beauty in both joy and pain. It’s about discovering that faith and spirituality are not separate: one is the path, the other the light that shines along it.

As Alice stands before the altar today, we feel the presence of her angel sister, Esther, close by — gentle, luminous, part of this day in her own quiet way. Faith tells us that love never ends; spirituality reminds us that love transforms and continues beyond sight.

We believe that heaven rejoices with us today. And in that soft meeting point between earth and sky, between prayer and spirit, between the seen and the unseen — we feel the fullness of God’s promise: that love always remains.

As parents, we can only hope that the seeds of faith we plant grow into something strong and true — something that guides our children gently through every joy and every trial.

We are so proud of the young woman she is becoming — thoughtful, kind, and quietly brave

“The Holy Spirit breathes where it wills; and love, once given, never fades.” 🌿

For me, faith also means looking beyond the here and now — alzare gli occhi al cielo, to lift our eyes to heaven — to recognise that life is more than what we see. It saddens me for those who never even try to do that, who live only in what is visible, missing the quiet, infinite beauty of what lies beyond
